I'm too uncultured to guess what characters these guys are. And what are they - plastic display heads??

These are part of the Tomland Famous Monsters of Legend toys made around 1977. They were Mego-sized toys (about 8" tall). There were 4 in the set: The Morlock from "the Time Machine," The Abominable Snowman, The Fly, and The Cyclops (clearly based on the Ray harryhausen cyclops, even though it had normal (albeit green) human legs and feet. I had all 4. The Morlock and Abominable Snowman are still intact and in great shape (you can see the Abominable's blue feet behind these heads, but alas, the rubber band that held all of the body parts together on the Fly and Cyclops broke (as happened with many of my Planet of the Apes toys as well) and somehow all that remained were their heads. I've since gained a really well done replica of the Fly figure. Someday I hope to replace my Cyclops as well.

I remember rubber bands breaking apart! But I can't remember what toy figures they were. Visionaries, maybe?
